S-Video (Super Video) is a high-quality method of transmitting video signals over cable. S-Video separates the colour and luminance (brightness) onto different wires. This prevents colour bleeding and dot crawl therefore increases clarity and sharpness. 

Common Use: Connects audio visual devices, such as a TV or Projector to DVD/Video Player. 

NOTE: The 4 pin s-video port will fit into the 7 pin port found on laptops, but will not carry sound.
